The International Environmental Film Festival of Argentina (FINCA), organized by the Institute of Multimedia for Human Rights (IMD), will hold its 8th edition from August 12 to 19, 2026, in Buenos Aires.

FINCA is a meeting space for filmmakers, activists, communities, and specialists, aiming to promote critical cinema that contributes to social transformation and the creation of new narratives on environmental and human rights issues.

This 8th edition will focus on the right to land, a central axis in contemporary debates on the socio-ecological crisis, environmental justice, and development models, inviting us to imagine more just and sustainable futures.

The call for submissions for this edition is now closed. We thank all filmmakers, producers, and teams who submitted their works from different countries and territories. The large number and diversity of films received reflect the interest and urgency of continuing to think about today’s socio-environmental challenges through cinema.

In the coming months, we will announce the Official Selection that will be part of this new edition of the festival.
