The International Environmental Film Festival of Argentina, organized by the Multimedia Institute of Human Rights (IMD), announces the opening of submissions for its 8th edition, which will take place from August 12 to 19, 2026 in Buenos Aires, in an entirely in-person format.

FINCA is a meeting space for filmmakers, activists, communities, and specialists, aimed at promoting critical cinema capable of contributing to social transformation and the creation of new narratives on the environment and human rights.

This 8th edition focuses on the right to land as a central axis of contemporary debates on socio-ecological crises, environmental justice, and development models. From this perspective, FINCA invites us to imagine fairer and more sustainable futures, where the defense of the commons and socio-environmental justice play a central role.
