Samuel lives in Ponta Negra, a small town by the seaside in Paraty, Brazil. We follow the family for six years and, at first, the rhythm of an idyllic life and the boy’s development set the tone for the movie. Gradually, a more complex reality emerges, and portrays a changing Brazil, oscillating between modernity and tradition, nature and technology.
