Synopsis:

When Rafael Correa becomes president of Ecuador in 2007, the West no longer lends money to the country. Instead, the president turns to China for support and starts making deals and agreements with the leading Asian giant. This Stolen Country of Mine portrays the consequences of globalization and the mundane nationalism of an outraged population.
