Fires

Chaqueo is a Bolivian practice of burning down forests to gain cultivable land. In 2019, it was recognized as a legal tool for such purposes. The most destructive fires in Bolivian history ensued. The film shows the problems of chaqueo and the work of volunteer firefighters trying to save vulnerable areas and their inhabitants.
