In a world where homeownership is becoming increasingly unattainable, land is in the hands of few—either for real estate development, agricultural production, or simply as an idle asset. The opportunities to access land for housing or cultivation are becoming increasingly scarce.

Through this lens, we can question who owns the land, expose the inequalities embedded in its distribution, and bring to the table those who are excluded from the conversation. Rural workers, homeless people, and those defending our natural heritage are all part of the same struggle—one that is reflected in the films selected.

The right to the land is also the right to housing, to a dignified life, and to imagining fairer cities and territories.
