In Latin America, the juxtaposition of social complexities, the climate crisis and the quest for sustainability presents a challenging scenario —albeit one full of opportunities to effect change. Given the significant environmental footprint of the film industry, sustainability becomes a pressing need to protect our environment and ensure a livable future. This international workshop is aimed at film industry professionals and students interested in learning about the main challenges and opportunities in terms of environmental impact and sustainability in the industry. It is a space for meeting and reflection that is divided into two modules. The first, a panel with three national and international specialists who address the sustainable approach in different areas, such as festivals, production companies and large streaming platforms, and content developers. The second, an international workshop led by ecomanagement specialists who will share specific and accessible tools to reduce environmental impact for small and medium scale shootings.
